Grant Funding
Metal For Good fund incredible community groups and projects that use music and the values of the rock and metal community to help create an equal society.
We run two open funding rounds per year, and we are delighted to share that the 2026 EOI windows will be:
2nd February – 16th February
24th August – 7th September
How To Apply
We are now accepting Expressions of Interest for our Spring funding round. Please note, the form close at 5pm on 16th February.
We have introduced a short expression of interest (EOI) form which will be open for two weeks. This step aims to reduce the time spent by potential applicants given the demand for our previous funding rounds.
The EOI can be accessed here.
To help develop your application, you can preview the questions here.
Full guidance on how to submit an application, and criteria for receiving funding can be found here.
Once we have reviewed the expressions of interest, a shortlist of projects will be invited to submit a full application. Final applications will be reviewed by our grants committee and notified whether they will receive funding. The final amount they receive will be determined by Metal For Good’s loyal supporters.
Up to six projects will be awarded funding, broken down by:
1 x £3000
2 x £2000
3 X £1000
You can read about our current grant holders here.

If you have any problems accessing the EOI form or grant guidance, please email us at grants@metalforgood.org
Please note we will not be able to respond to general requests for a discussion regarding your project or organisation.
We recognise that many UK communities, including the rock and metal community, don’t always have access to quality education that meets the diverse needs of children and young people.
We understand that UK communities, particularly the rock and metal community, often suffer from poor physical and mental health, and experience disadvantages from inequalities including race, gender, disability, gender identity, and sexuality.
We focus on three goals
Our funding themes align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). The UNSDGs were adopted by all United Nations member states in 2015 and are a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for the people and the planet.
We want to progress three of these goals for an equal society:
GOOD HEALTH & WELL-BEING
QUALITY EDUCATION
REDUCED INEQUALITIES
Through these goals, we support innovative new ideas and existing projects using music and the values of our community to create real impact for the rock, metal and wider community across the UK.
