Metal Merch Day is back! And we’re delighted to share that this year’s merch extravaganza will be held on the 18th October.
The first Metal Merch Day in 2023 raised an incredible £10,000 with support from music fans across the world, and artists such as Evil Scarecrow, Thunder, Hundred Reasons, and Amongst Liars.
We are inviting rock and metal fans across the country to again don their favourite item of merch, or wear our exclusive Metal Merch Day T-shirt in exchange for a small donation via our JustGiving page.
There are plenty of other ways to get involved, from eBaying your old merch and donating the proceeds to us, to organising your own rock and metal themed fundraising event. We have plenty more ideas and information in our Metal Merch Day fundraising guide.
All money raised goes directly to community projects helping people through music. In 2023 we supported three incredible projects including The Music Works – an open access youth music project, Heavy Metal Therapy – an online resource for people who find heavy music helpful for their mental health, and Gig Buddies – a project which pairs adults with disabilities with gig goers to experience live music. We are currently in the process of awarding grants to six more incredible projects using music to change lives.
