Now in its Fourth year, our annual Metal Merch Day fundraising campaign will take place on Friday 23rd October 2026!

We are urging rock and metal fans to proudly wear their favourite metal merch for a small charitable donation via JustGiving. Metal fans can also purchase the official event t-shirt designed by our very own Chris Baker, and is available in a range of fits, styles and colour ways. And, until October 12th, everyone who buys a Metal Merch Day (MMD) item of merch will be entered in to a prize draw to win two tickets to see Skindred live at Nottingham Rock City on MMD itself (23rd Oct)!

In the coming weeks we will be announcing to exclusive collab merch and details of our annual Metal Merch Day Ebay Auction featuring rare, unique and signed music memorabilia.

We are also hosting a MMD fundraiser in partnership with Black Iris Brewery and Eyesore Merch;

What to expect:

  • Free entry!

  • Pop-up vintage & alt-clothing stall.

  • Ex-straw-dinary DJ set from Evil Scarecrow, heavy metal’s most entertaining crop protectors and parody band.

  • AND a DJ set from your favourite band’s favourite hairdresser, the Heavy Metal Hairdresser.

  • Some very cool surprise guests.

  • Charity raffle with lots of great prizes (we’re talking gig tickets, merch, free beer, merch, etc).

  • Black Iris Brewery’s Halloween Beer Festival, featuring 20 dark and delicious beers from guest breweries.

All money raised will go to fund UK based community projects that use music to improve mental health, unlock young potential, and amplify underrepresented voices – because metal is more than music, it’s a movement. To date, sixteen projects have received funding all thanks to the contributions from the rock and metal community and by supporting Metal Merch Day this year – even more can be funded. Recent grant recipients include Scrapyard Studios, Building Circles: Gig Buddies, New Note Orchestra and Shoreham Allstars.
