Simon Wood

Simon Wood is a Chef, Restaurateur, Author and Radio Presenter.

After winning MasterChef in 2015, Simon was appointed executive chef of the Oldham Event Centre, part of Oldham Athletic Football Club.

In 2017, Simon opened his first restaurant WOOD Manchester in the First Street development bringing his unique culinary style along with his hand picked team to the heart of Manchester.

Simon is author and contributor to multiple food books and publications, including his debut cookbook ‘At Home with Simon Wood – Fine Dining Made Simple’ in 2016. Simon was Manchester Leading Chef of the Year 2019/20 and his restaurant has attracted AA Rosettes and a Michelin Recommendation.

A huge fan of rock, metal and alternative music, Simon makes the pilgrimage to Download Festival every year and has recently joined the Midlands MetalHeads radio station, hosting the Friday Breakfast Show.
